TBBWI – January 2023 Meeting Minutes

Record of the main Meeting held at South Weald Parish Hall
at 8pm on Wednesday 18 th January, 2023

The President welcomed 59 members this month and our guest speaker for the evening, Lorraine, franchise owner of Strolllercise Brentwood.

The record of the previous meeting was taken as read and signed.

Notices were given as follows:-
• Spring Group – Saturday 11 th May at Harold Hill Community Centre, 12 noon – 6pm, Afternoon Tea. Tickets £15 tbc
• Inter WI quiz were announced – heats to be held at Hatfield Peverel on
• Details of upcoming films at Brentwood theatre
• An invitation from Changing Pathways to an Afternoon Tea.
• Next trip to Warley Place in February

Next month will be Climate Change in Essex with Essex WI Climate Ambassador, Jill Bruce.

The President spoke of housekeeping.

Members joined in enthusiastically with the Strollercise routines.

The challenge cup this month was to dress for the 1950’s as Strollercise is set to 50’s music. The winners were Gemma C. – 4 points, Rosa G.– 3 points and Helen B. and Liz S. – 2 points respectively. Other entrants were each awarded 1 point.

Members were asked to vote on this year’s resolutions. The vote will be forwarded to Essex Federation.

We had our regular collection for the foodbank and also our book library.

The meeting was officially closed early at 9.45 pm due to roads being potentially icy.
