TBBWI – April 2024 Meeting Minutes
AGM, Resolution Vote and Pudding Club
The President welcomed 55 members to the April meeting and asked new members to make
themselves known. Housekeeping notices were given, and the record of the previous
meeting were taken as read and signed. The President then explained the format of the
AGM before proceeding with that part of the meeting.

The committee’s Annual Report was read and was adopted by members.
The financial Statement was read and was adopted by members.
The President’s address and video presentation was given.
As there were no new nominations, committee members were re-elected as follows:-
Secretary – Tricia D, Treasurer – Viv S, Members Secretary – Margaret W, Minutes
Secretary – Liz S, Website – Rosa G, Social Media – Nic H-L and Kirsty H, Planning –
Jan D and Gem C
As there were no other nominees, Jane M was formally re- elected as President.
Thanks were given to the committee and also to the ladies who organise the catering
each month.
The President was thanked for her work.
The AGM part of the meeting was officially closed at 8.30pm.
The evening continued with a short presentation about the Resolution and, after some
discussion, a vote was taken. Members voted in favour of the resolution but did not vote to
give the representative leeway to vote on changed wording at the annual meeting.
At the break, members sampled the delicious array of puddings that had been made for the
challenge cup and voted for their favourite. Points were awarded as follows:-
1 st Place – Elaine H – 4 points, 2nd Debbie N. – 3 points, and 3rd – Gemma C. 2 points. All
other entrants were awarded 1 point each.
A table top quiz was then offered before The Challenge Cup was presented to this year’s winner Helen B who had gained the most points over the past year.
Notices were given about next month’s speaker from The Gardens of Easton Lodge and the
challenge is to make a small hoop for the tree we are decorating as part of the Brentwood Art Trail this
year.
Rosa then explained that the committee are planning to have a Well Being officer/subcommittee to be a listening ear and support members in times of need such as grief, mental health struggles, physical health struggles, etc. This will include signposting to others who have had similar experiences to create a support network for all Belles. Members will soon be
surveyed about this regarding their desire to be a part of the support network, and then again to see if any help is immediately needed, jumpstarting the support structure. There will be more details at a later date.
