TBBWI – December 2024 Meeting Minutes

Record of the main Meeting held at South Weald Parish Hall at 8pm on 18th December 2024.

Victorian Themed Christmas party with entertainment provided by The Writtle Singers.

Our president, Jane, in her guise as Queen Victoria, welcomed 62 members this evening
and introduced the Writtle Singers. Members enjoyed a very festive evening of song and
recitals. Audience participation was encouraged, and props were provided for a very comical
rendition of ‘The Twelve Days of Christmas’. There was much frivolity and laughter.

A holly bedecked photo frame was available for anyone wishing to pose for a photograph.
Tables were decorated with garlands and mince pies and edible coal were served along with
mulled Cider both alcoholic and non- alcoholic.

The hand made Secret Santa was a great success and 5 lucky winners of our annual raffle
received a themed prize carefully put together by Rosa and each presented in a stocking
lovingly made by ladies at the Sewing Bee.

The president thanked our guests, who received a rapturous applause, and then informed
members that the first meeting of the new year would be a fitness based one to help burn off
any excess calories consumed over the festive period! The meeting closed at 10pm.
